Dunno if anyone looks in here.. But hey. I am currently taking AP Bio. I barely got a C- last semester and I'm strugging to get the same grade this semester. ;\ I only took because my dad encouraged me take a higher course in science for pharmacy major, but then anything medical, science or math related does not suit me. I just need a passing grade so my college doesn't have to reconsider my application..

D; Nice to meet you all.

Hey everyone! I just joined this community. I'm in SL Bio (BIG mistake) at my schhol in Tampa. My teacher is quite possibly the most frustrating person I've ever met. Last cycle we had a test (right before exams, may I add) that was supposed to be a nine weeks test. It was 90 questions, (also the number of minutes we are in there) and close to half of it was on heritability, which is the NEXT chapter we're doing. When I brought this to her attention, she admitted to giving us the wrong test. Basically, I wish that I took physics instead.

Today was a glorious day. Why is that you may ask?

While cleaning out my room today, I found my biology notebook.

I lit it on fire.

Dear humans who read this journal:
your journey is over.
It's been a long ride, ups and downs, failing tests and BSing our way through complex labs; long nights up, reading the Bible from cover to cover and trembling in the face of the AP.
Wheeler asked me what would become of this community.
Personally, I want to pass it on to some worthy sophomore (is that a joke?) or just leave it as a testament and a monument to the tenacity and character of the class of 2006.
We survived a year of this course and most of us have C's or better to show for it. For this, I salute you.
Others had tried to dismantle this community, attack us and accuse us of cheating and otherwise deceit; we remained steadfast and defended ourselves to prove our innocence.
Finally, I just want to say congratulations and I'll be back with some other illicit community (if you know, you know) in the next year.
So, let's post our bio memories and reminsce, shall we?

With the utmost love and affection,
September Sweet

Hello! Just joined, but I've been watching for a while. Sounds dirty, somehow, doesn't it? Anyway, I'm posting to say

a) "Hello," which I have done, so I can proceed to . . .

b) "Help!"

There's a question on my lab prep sheet that asks us to draw a G-C bond and explain which bits are in the major or minor groove of the DNA helix. To which I say, "Huh?" Actually, I said "What the FUCK?" I REALLY have no idea what is going on with this question.

I am not asking for the answer, I'm cool with doing my own work and all, but can anyone help me figure out how to do this? Even knowing the directionality of the strand, etc., how do you know, like, what's the back or the front? Am I stupid? I just don't get it.

AP BIO RULED! [09 May 2005|07:32pm]

Man! Taking the AP bio test was the most thrilling event of my week. It was awesome! Pretty sure I got a 1230873207630873086201 on it. Yeah, I was that good! All you kids that skipped it, oh man, you TOTALLY missed out.

There were only like 20 kids at the test. I think mostly everyone wanted to cry afterwards. It raped us. I really hope the IB test really is easier like everyone is saying.

Since there are only 21 days left until the Bio Exam, I thought it would be an appropriate time to propose that we have a study group before the test.

I think the saturday before at Barnes & Noble or The French Roast (Kaira or Jen, should i call and ask them to reserve a room?) would be a good idea, and i would cook dinner the night before if anyone would drive all the way out here.

If you'd like to come or have any other ideas, comment.
